First Impressions:
Only a few minutes walk from Euston station, this restaurant has a very different vibe to the gaudy establishments of Kings Cross further down the road. The word here is subtle.
Starters:
After a cold Cobra beer, that cost the usual London price of a speed boat I enjoyed some fresh Papadums. The Pickle tray was up to standard.I was dining alone tonight after a gig so I skipped over the Bhajis unfortunately.
The mains:
I ordered a lamb Saag here. The meat was decent but the subtle philosophy of the chef came into play here. I apparently had ordered from the child's menu as the portions were tiny; there only seemed to be one spinach leaf on the whole dish as well!
I often order dishes to be made spicier than usual and I got no result here as the whole dish was quite bland.
A slightly dry tiny garlic Naan was also enjoyed...
The Verdict:
Take your kids and feed them, eat elsewhere!
Likely to dine here:
Kevin from the wonder years and Leo Sayer.
